Jaguar XK 120 FHC

This moment remains forever etched in the collective memory of automobile enthusiasts: the precise instant when this motor show witnessed the arrival of one of the most fabulous machines ever created to make lovers of fine automobiles dream — the Jaguar XK120. From the moment it was unveiled, the car caused a genuine aesthetic and emotional shock. The public, quite literally drawn to the silhouette of this revolutionary roadster, crowded in dense numbers around the Jaguar stand. The excitement was so intense that some still speak today of a near-riot atmosphere, such was the size and energy of the gathering. This commotion is no romantic legend invented by time: contemporary testimonies, press articles, and the memories of visitors present that day all confirm the magnitude of the sensation it created. The appearance of the XK120 was a true dramatic turning point in automotive history. It suddenly embodied the promise of a new era defined by speed, elegance, and modernity. Its design seemed to challenge the stylistic conventions of the time and already heralded the sports cars of the future. “Drawn by the wind” could well have been its subtitle, as every detail appears shaped by the pursuit of fluidity and harmony.
Not a single straight line breaks the subtle harmony of the curves and counter-curves that flow into one another in a breathtaking interplay of lines, giving the whole car an impression of movement even when standing still. The car presented here was completely restored in our workshops several years ago with the utmost care and in full respect of its authenticity. Perfectly faithful to its original configuration, only a few discreet improvements have been made to enhance driving comfort, particularly upgraded brakes and the installation of power steering. Since its restoration, this XK120 has been meticulously and regularly maintained in our workshops. Today it is presented in remarkable condition, fully serviced and ready to take to the road. No expenses are to be expected, allowing its future owner to immediately enjoy the timeless charm and prestige of this exceptional automobile.
